The app works without coverage

The app works without coverage

The ground people hunt on is usually the same ground where the mobile network gives up. You can log harvests and sightings with no signal at all, and the record sends itself once coverage returns.

Where the hunting happens, there is rarely coverage

The ground people actually hunt on is usually the same ground where the mobile network gives up. So the app is built to manage without it.

Logging without coverage

You can log harvests and sightings with no coverage at all.

The record queues on the phone. When the network returns, it sends itself. You do not have to remember it, and you do not have to do anything. The queue cannot lose anything on the way, and cannot send the same thing twice.

The log with harvests and sightings
The log: species, place and time in one list, season by season.

The species list downloads in advance

Species with images and names download while you have coverage, and stay on the phone afterwards. You should not have to stand over an animal waiting for a list to load.

New from the test teams

The hunters using the app tell us what is missing, and several of the changes came straight from them:

  • Create a hunting team from the Team tab. Before, you had to go via the website.
  • Undo on quick logging. Tap the wrong species and you fix it in one tap.
  • Area in hectares outside Norway, for hunting across the border.
  • Email confirmation on sign-up, so your account is actually yours.

Take it with you

The app is free, and it works where you hunt. Download it before you walk in, and you have the map and the log with you whatever the network does.
