The first association to put all its hunting into Hunta
A whole association, not a trial run
Vindafjord Jakt og Fiskelag is the first association to put all of its hunting into Hunta.
That is the difference we have been waiting for. Not one piece of ground listed to try something out, but the whole operation: the entire membership, the ground, the permits and the sales, in one place for the entire season.
What is in there
- All 300 members, invited in, with the member price applied automatically at purchase
- The ground at Stokkadalen, drawn in with its boundaries
- The full season quota, entered with the right category on each animal
- The hunting listed for members, with a price per hunting day and a harvest fee per kilo
Why it matters
An association that enters its whole quota, and not just a listing, is an association that intends to run the season from here.
Then things connect on their own. Harvests are counted against the permits while the hunt is on, the harvest report arrives from the hunter's app instead of by email in November, and the settlement goes to the association without anyone having to work it out afterwards.
The model they use
A price per hunting day, and a harvest fee per kilo on what is taken. The hunter pays for what they actually get, and the association does not have to guess what the season is worth.
- The association gets paid for the hunting, with a receipt for every krone
- The hunter pays the fee on top of the price. The price the association sets is the price it receives
- The harvest report comes in by itself, without anyone having to chase it
- Members are handled in the same system, so member pricing and the member list do not live in a spreadsheet on the side
That last point is really the most important one. Most of the people we talk to spend more time on the administration around the hunting than on selling it.
