About game handling facilities

A game-handling facility (viltbehandlingsanlegg) is approved by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority to receive, inspect and process wild game destined for sale. If you sell meat from your harvest, or want a professional inspection, the game must pass through an approved facility. As a trained hunter (feltkontrollør) you may assess smaller amounts yourself in the field.
