No new card until the report is in

2 min read
Associations and mountain boards can now require the harvest report to be filed before a hunter can buy another card. It's optional, and stays off until the association turns it on.

The reports that never come

Anyone who sells small-game cards knows the feeling: the cards sell, but the reports arrive late or not at all. That means chasing by email and an incomplete picture of what has been taken.

Report first, then a new card

The association can now turn on a block: nobody gets a new card until their report is in.

If a hunter has a card with a report that hasn't been filed, they can't buy a new card from the same association. Instead, checkout shows a notice saying which hunt the report is for, and a button goes straight to the report form. Once the report is filed, the purchase goes through as normal. The same applies to booking a new hunt with the association.

Fair to the hunter

  • It only applies to cards from the same association
  • It only applies to the individual hunter, not the rest of the team
  • The hunter has one extra day to file before the block kicks in
  • Draws and auctions are exempt

How to turn it on

The block is off by default. The association turns it on under Harvest reports in Disken, with the Report before a new purchase switch.
